How SpyWinAds divides Win, Scale and Old

Updated 11/02/2026 · screenshots from app version 0.6.5

This article helps you read the 3 ad columns Win, Scale, Old, and understand the rules for putting a video into each tab.

The 3 ad columns

Each video has many ads running. SpyWinAds divides them by how many days the ad has been running:

ColumnAd running forWhat it means for sellers
Scaleunder 7 daysThe shop is putting in more money and posting new ads.
Win7 to 14 daysIt has passed the testing stage and the shop is still spending.
Oldover 14 daysHas been running for a long time, may be saturated.

Only ads that are still running are counted.

Timeline by video age

Video age is different from ad age. Video age is counted from the earliest point the video appeared on Facebook. A video moves through the tabs as it ages:

under 7 days7–14 daysover 14 days up to 30 daysover 30 days

Rules for each tab

Every tab requires the video to be fully dug and to have a sales link.

TabConditions
Potential videosVideo age under 7 days. Win + Scale over 50. No Old ads.
Winning videosVideo age 7–14 days. Meets all 5 conditions below.
Scaling videosVideo age over 14 days up to 30 days. Win + Scale over 200. Scale at 20 or more. Win at 10 or more. Ran continuously from the start, not an old video being rerun.
Evergreen productsOld + Win + Scale over 200, and one of these: more than 50 ads that ran for over 30 days and are still alive, or the video file is over 30 days old.

The 5 conditions for Winning videos

  1. Fully dug.
  2. Win column has 10 or more ads.
  3. Win + Scale over 200.
  4. Still has new ads under 7 days old (the shop is still posting).
  5. Has a sales link.

Video age is not counted as a condition, because it is already on the timeline. A video older than 14 days that still scales strongly belongs in the Scaling videos tab.

Two cases do not go into Winning videos even if they meet all 5 conditions: the video still has Old ads running (an old video being rerun), and the store page has existed long before the video came out (an old product with a new video). If they reach the threshold, these videos appear in the Evergreen products tab.

Why the deep dive comes first

Keyword scanning only sees ads containing the exact words you typed. Before the deep dive, the shop and ad counts are still very incomplete, so tab placement would be wrong. The deep dive finds the other shops running the video, and only then is the tab decided using the real numbers. See the article What is Deep dive.

If a video’s file date could not be measured, the age is counted from the earliest ad, so it is a minimum. Every number in the tabs is an ad signal, not sales or profit.
